Loddefjord IL was one of 37 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Hallingcup 2018. They participated with two teams in Gutter 14 (11v11) and Gutter U16 (11v11) respectively. Two teams played until 5-6 in A-sluttspill; Gutter U16 (11v11) G16 won over Hemsedal IL G16 by 7-3 but Gutter 14 (11v11) G14 lost against Vålerenga Fotball G14, VIF-Evigenga by 1-4.
In addition to this, Loddefjord IL have participated in Hallingcup before. During Hallingcup 2017, Loddefjord had two teams playing in G13/14. The team in G13/14 made it to the the Final in A-sluttspilland won it over Vålerenga Evigenga G04-3 by 5-4. Loddefjord comes from Bergen which lies approximately 200 km from Gol, where Hallingcup takes place. The area around Bergen does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Hallingcup 2018 (Arna-Bjørnar Allianse Idrettslag, Nordre Fjell Fotball, Smørås IL, Søreide Idrettslag, Flaktveit Idrettsklubb, Osterøy IL, Kvernbit, IL, Nordsiden-Askøy IL and Vestsiden-Askøy IL).
